Share a ride that is already happening, and split the cost fairly. PassengerPool connects people who are already making a trip with people going the same way. Drivers share their journey and the cost; passengers get a seat at a fair price. It is not a taxi service: there is no commission, and the fare is simply the trip's cost shared equally between the driver and the passengers. For riders • Browse rides without creating an account. • See the route, the time, the driver's rating and what your share of the fare will be, before you ask. • Request seats in a few taps; the price goes down as more people join. • Get an alert when the driver answers. For drivers • Offer a ride in three short steps: where and when, your vehicle and seats, then price and meeting points. • Within a city or between cities, one way or round trip, or a daily commute on the days you choose. • The distance and a suggested fare are worked out for you. • Accept or decline requests, and mark the ride completed. Trust and safety • Members are checked by people: an ID check with photos taken with the camera, reviewed by the PassengerPool team before a first ride. • Ratings after every ride, and a way to flag safety concerns. • You decide where to meet, and your phone number is only shared once a request is accepted.
