Sungay

Sungay is a Flutter + Firebase social networking app focused on real-world discovery and private connection. After sign-in (email/password or Google), users pass an onboarding flow that enforces 18+ eligibility, profile setup, photo upload, and consent before entering the main app. The experience is split into two areas: Public Place and Private Space. In Public Place, users discover nearby profiles based on location and distance, with feed modes for current location, travel location search, and view-based activity. Users can open detailed profiles, view photos and moments/videos, like profiles, read or add testimonials, and interact through “vibes” (interest requests with messages). As interactions progress, users can respond to vibe and connection prompts, share stickers, request meetups (“His Place” or “My Space”), open external map directions, access meetup chat, and use QR-based meetup confirmation. Notification-driven deep links can route users directly to profiles, chats, videos, or specific shout activity. Private Space is the personal and relationship hub. It includes: Friends and Shouts tabs (friend list, shout feed, reactions/comments, repost flow) Chat inbox and one-to-one chat screens Profile editor for body/face photos, moments, display name, about text, tags, bio attributes, and social links Notifications center with unread tracking and mark/read behavior Configuration settings (incognito mode, notifications toggle, unit system, default page) Legal and privacy screens Support ticket submission for issues and moderation/reporting workflows The app uses Firebase Auth, Firestore, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, push notifications, and presence tracking to power social actions, media uploads, real-time state, and backend business logic.
