Katori: Calorie Counter

Katori is a simple food diary with an extensive Indian food catalog. Record your meals, adjust portions, and keep track of calories, protein, carbohydrates, fat and fibre in a clean, thoughtfully designed app. I built Katori for my own use and am sharing it with anyone who finds it useful. It is free and will always be free. No ads, subscriptions, paid upgrades or catch. The catalog includes everyday Indian dishes, regional foods, snacks and packaged foods, along with foods from other cuisines. Use familiar portions such as cups, katoris and pieces where available, or enter a weight in grams. FOOD AND PORTIONS Search the food database on your phone. Choose a serving size, adjust the quantity, and see the calories and nutrients before adding food to a meal. Search works offline after the database is available on your device. YOUR DAILY DIARY See daily and meal totals for calories, protein, carbohydrates, fat and fibre. Move between dates to review earlier meals. Changes made offline are saved on your phone and synchronized when you reconnect. SAVED MEALS AND CUSTOM FOODS Save combinations of foods that you eat regularly and log them again with a different portion multiplier. Add nutrition details for a recipe or packaged food that you cannot find. Community foods are shared with other Katori users; your diary and saved meals are private. EDITABLE GOALS Set calorie and nutrient targets yourself, or estimate a starting point from your saved profile, activity level and weight goal. Choose to lose, maintain or gain weight at a weekly pace. Age, height, weight and gender are optional, and every target can be edited. HEALTH CONNECT With your permission, Katori writes your logged nutrition to Health Connect so compatible apps can use it. Edits and deleted diary entries are synchronized too. Katori does not read your other Health Connect records. SHARE A DAY Create an image of a day's meals and nutrition totals and share it through the Android share menu. Nothing is shared until you choose to share it. ANDROID AND WEB Sign in with Google to use the same account on Android and the web. Katori supports light and dark appearance. Your diary is private, and we do not sell your data. Nutrition values and calorie estimates are guides and may be incomplete or inaccurate.
