Photograph a broken bowl, plate, lid or other vessel, then place numbered pins directly on the piece to mark each break. Each pin carries a joint class - a clean 🧼 butt break, a rim chip, a bridge over a missing shard, a closed hairline, a spall or a craze - along with a gap grade and measurements. From this set of pins, the app 📱 builds a full repair programme: an ordered sequence of passes across five stages, bonding, filling, levelling, coating and gilding. The app 📱 tracks curing time ⏱️ for you. Lacquer only hardens in the right temperature and humidity, so Gave Edge draws cure gates onto a calendar 📅 and lets you adjust the room's temperature and humidity dials to see 👀 the whole schedule shift in real time. A take-off screen lists the materials each pass needs, weighed out in grams across eight materials, with a running total 💯 of metal spent in milligrams. When a piece is finished, a docket summarises every pass, the seam length and the total time ⏱️ on the bench. A bench book 📚 sits alongside the workflow: six tools 🛠️ tagged to the stages they serve, and six common faults - wrinkle, blush, pinhole, sag, crawl and dust nib - each with its cause and a remedy pass you can insert straight into your open piece.
