Full description
TCF Solar Care is the official app of the Solar R&M Department at The Citizens Foundation. It is built for principals of TCF campuses running on solar power, replacing paper registers and follow-up phone calls with one place to record maintenance, raise problems and prove the work was done. Access is limited to TCF staff. You sign in with the Campus ID and PIN issued by the Solar R&M Department. There is no public sign-up. WEEKLY MAINTENANCE IN UNDER TWO MINUTES Every week your campus needs the same four checks: clean the solar panels, check the battery bank, clear dust from the inverter room, and water the earthing pit. The app walks you through them in order, in English or Urdu. Photographs are taken through the app camera at the moment of the visit, and each one is stamped with the campus, date, time and location automatically. Nothing to fill in by hand, nothing to file afterwards. A progress bar shows which weeks of the month you have completed and which are still outstanding. YOUR SOLAR MAINTENANCE CERTIFICATE (SMC) Every campus can download its own Solar Maintenance Certificate at any time. The SMC is a complete, dated record of every maintenance visit logged from your campus, with your compliance percentage month by month and year by year, and a verified stamp once the Solar R&M team has reviewed your logs. Save it as a PDF and attach it to any complaint you send to head office. When a system fails, the SMC is the evidence that your campus was properly maintained. RAISE A COMPLAINT AND FOLLOW IT Report a fault with a description and a photograph. You can see exactly where it stands - open, acknowledged, in progress, awaiting parts, or resolved - without telephoning anyone to ask. Faults recorded by the engineering team in the central tracker appear here too, so your view matches head office. INVERTER REPAIR STATUS When an inverter goes to the workshop, the app shows what is happening to it: received, under diagnosis, awaiting parts, under repair, dispatched or delivered, with the expected return date. MESSAGE THE SOLAR R&M TEAM A direct line to the engineers who look after your system. Ask a question, send a photograph, get an answer - all kept in one thread instead of scattered across phone calls. ANNOUNCEMENTS YOU WILL NOT MISS Advisories from the Solar R&M team open when you start the app and stay until you acknowledge them, so seasonal warnings and deadline reminders actually reach you. Every announcement stays readable afterwards. BUILT FOR REAL SCHOOL CONDITIONS - Works in English and Urdu, switchable at any time - Opens and shows your maintenance guide even with no signal; submissions queue and send when you reconnect - Optional notifications for announcements and replies to your complaints - Complete step-by-step maintenance guide with the official procedures WHY THE APP ASKS FOR CAMERA AND LOCATION Camera: maintenance must be evidenced with photographs taken at the campus, so the app captures images directly rather than accepting them from your gallery. It is used only while you are creating a log or attaching a photo to a complaint. Location: each maintenance photograph records the coordinates at the moment of capture, confirming the work was done at the campus it is reported against. Location is read only at that moment. The app does not track your movements and never runs location in the background. You can decline notifications and still use every other part of the app. ABOUT THE CITIZENS FOUNDATION TCF is one of Pakistan's largest privately owned networks of schools, bringing quality education to children in underserved communities. Solar power keeps the lights and fans running in hundreds of those schools. This app exists so the people who look after those systems every week have the tools to do it properly, and the evidence to show for it. Powered & Developed By Sharjeel Anees, Engineering Department - TCF Head Office.
