Relocat

Relocat is an encrypted vault for the documents that matter when you move abroad, and every day after: passports, visas, residence permits, contracts and certificates. Your documents, their file names and their types are encrypted on your device before they leave it. Our servers store only ciphertext, and we hold no key that could open it. If you lose every device and your recovery key, nobody can restore your documents, including us. Relocat is in open testing. Expect rough edges, and tell us what breaks. WHAT YOU CAN DO • Organize documents into safes. Names and contents are encrypted on your device. • Scan paper documents with your camera and save them as PDFs straight into your vault. • Work offline. The app opens from its local database and syncs in the background when you are back online. • Share a document or a whole safe with another Relocat user. Only they can decrypt it, and you can revoke access at any time. • Save files others share with you into your own safes or onto your device. • Send a guest link so someone without the app can view a document in their browser, read-only and for a limited time. • Keep earlier versions. When you replace a document, the previous version stays in its history. • Link another phone or tablet, or move your account to a new device. • Create a recovery key for backup and restore. It is your only way back if you lose every device. OPTIONAL FEATURES You decide whether to use these. • Community Map: show a display name, your city and an optional photo to other signed-in members, and see which cities members live in. You pick the city from a list; the map never uses your device location. What you publish on the map is not encrypted, and a person reviews every photo before others can see it. • AI assistant: connect an assistant of your choice over the Model Context Protocol. It receives only what you approve, every request is logged for you to review, and you can revoke its access at any time. • Crash reports: send crash details to our own monitoring server so we can fix faults. Switch them on or off in Settings > Privacy. WHAT WE CAN AND CANNOT SEE We cannot read your documents, their names or their types. We can see what we need to run the service: your email address, your registered devices, request logs, who you share with and when a share or guest link is opened, and anything you publish on the Community Map. The privacy policy lists every item. SECURITY • XChaCha20-Poly1305 encryption, X25519 key agreement and Ed25519 signatures (libsodium) • HKDF-SHA-256 key derivation and Argon2id to protect your PIN • Every request is signed with a key that never leaves your device • TLS with certificate pinning NO ADS, NO PRICE Relocat is free of charge.
