Pixelcade Sidekick

Pixelcade Sidekick turns your Android phone or tablet into a companion screen for your arcade cabinet. Launch a game and Sidekick shows its artwork and details right away, and keeps up while you play. REQUIRES PIXELCADE This is not a stand-alone app. It works only with a Pixelcade installation on your arcade cabinet or game PC, which does the work of finding each game's artwork and sending it to your device. WHAT YOU SEE • Box art, flyers, fan art, marquees, cabinet photos and in-game screenshots • Game details: year, publisher, genre, number of players and a description • Control layouts, so everyone knows which button does what • A live in-game HUD with your score and stats as you play (with DOFLinx) • High scores, plus sound effects for new high scores and achievements EASY TO USE • Swipe to flip through the cards, or swipe down for a menu that jumps straight to any card • Works in portrait and landscape: turn your device and the card redraws to fit • Finds your Pixelcade on your network automatically. Pick it from the list and you're done. • Tap the screen to show the settings gear • Runs on every Android screen size WHAT YOU NEED • A Pixelcade running the latest Pixelcade software, with Pixelcade Sidekick enabled • Your Android on the same WiFi network as your Pixelcade. Some hotel and guest networks block devices from talking to each other; use your home network or a hotspot instead. • Keep the app open while you play. Turn on Keep Screen On in Settings, and use Guided Access to dedicate a device to your cabinet.
