BooReader reads your books and articles aloud with your phone's text-to-speech voice — completely free, with no account and no subscription. WHY BOOREADER • Reliable background listening. WHAT IT READS • EPUB, FB2, FB2.ZIP/ZIP, TXT, HTML, DOCX and RTF files from your phone, SD card or cloud storage • TXT encoding is detected automatically, including old Russian encodings windows-1251, KOI8-R and CP866 • Table of contents and chapter navigation for EPUB, FB2 and HTML books • Share an article or web link from any app, or use "Read aloud" in another app's text-selection menu, or read straight from the clipboard — BooReader extracts the article text and reads it LIBRARY Your bookshelf keeps every book you have opened, with its cover, reading progress and exact position, so you can pick up any book where you left off. Long-press a book to remove it from the shelf (the file itself stays on your device). WHILE YOU LISTEN • The sentence being read is highlighted and text already read gently fades • Tap any sentence to continue reading from there • Turn pages by swiping, with the page slider, or jump straight to a page • Change reading speed from 0.5× to 3.0× instantly, no re-processing • Sleep timer for 10–90 minutes or until the end of the chapter, with a gentle fade-out; shake your phone to restart it • Player-only mode shows just the cover for distraction-free listening VOICE Choose a voice for each language with preview, adjust pitch and boost the volume — handy for quieter voices such as RHVoice, which BooReader suggests for offline Russian. Russian books get a Russian voice automatically if one is installed. LOOK AND FEEL Reading themes with a soft paper texture — Paper, Old paper, Night, Black or Auto — plus book fonts (Literata, PT Serif), text size, line spacing and justified text with hyphenation.
