Full description
Stand on the surface of Mars. Mars View turns real photographs from NASA's rovers into immersive panoramas you can pan, zoom and explore, following each rover's path across the planet. A NOTE ON DATA USAGE Images are streamed from the Internet. On a limited data plan, WiFi is recommended. This app was originally inspired by Michael Howard's excellent Midnight Planets app, and by a lifelong passion for robotic space exploration and Mars. Feature suggestions and bug reports are always welcome: send me an email, I'd love to hear from you. Imagery courtesy of NASA/JPL-Caltech and the mission science teams. Mars View is an independent app and is not affiliated with or endorsed by NASA.

What's new

Mars View is back, rebuilt for modern Android! * Four rovers to explore: Perseverance (Mars 2020), Curiosity (MSL), Spirit (MER-A), and Opportunity (MER-B) * Look around by moving your phone * Jump to any location by tapping the traverse map * Up-to-date imagery across all missions * Smaller download, faster loading * New rounded launcher icon based on Perseverance, replacing the old square one based on Curiosity * Cardboard VR mode is retired; its native library doesn't work on modern chipsets
