You are standing over a pile of wood with a pot in your hand and about forty minutes of daylight left. Tell it what you are cooking — two litres to a rolling boil, a Dutch oven held at 190 °C, embers that have to last two hours — and it works backwards to a fire you can genuinely build 🔨 tonight. The answer is not a paragraph of advice. It is a stack. You build 🔨 the fire on a four-rung fuel ladder, dragging real pieces out of your own woodpile onto tinder, kindling, intermediate 🌿 and fuel, while a live heat curve redraws beside it against the window you have to hold. When a rung is too thin the curve collapses at the exact minute it gives out and the app 📱 names the rung, in plain words, instead of letting you find out in the dark. Tap 👆 Solve it and it fills the cheapest ladder that holds — then Greyvam Lupara tells you why ❓ each rung is the wood, the size and the count that it is. Underneath is a real model, not a lookup table 📋. Thirty woods carry their true density, moisture-corrected calorific value, char yield and spark rating; seven lay geometries trade flame against coals against wind; and your pit, ground, windbreak, reflector, altitude and air temperature all move the answer. Altitude derates the fire and lowers the boiling point at the same time ⏱️, and the app 📱 shows you both halves of that instead of quietly cancelling them out. Once the fire is solved it becomes a plan 🗺️ you tick off — light the tinder, rung two at three minutes, rake the coals forward, pot on — each step with what it should look like and what to do if it is not doing that. Keep your real woodpile in it, photograph a batch if you want to recognise it in three months, and save 💾 the fires that worked so you can run them again on a colder night and see 👀 exactly what the weather 🌤️ changed.
