A loudspeaker cabinet is only ever right for the driver going into it, and the figures that decide it move together: net internal volume, system tuning, system Q, the minus three decibel point, vent length, vent air velocity and cone travel at a stated power. Change one and the rest follow. Spekar is the bench where you work them out. THE DRIVER Pick one from an illustrated rack of eight, searchable by name, magnet or frame and sortable by Fs, Vas or diameter - or enter your own and measure its cone area straight off a photograph laid beside a rule of known length. THE BOX Seven architectures to choose from. The box solves itself into a scaled front elevation and side section you can drag, with three plotted curves for response, cone travel and vent air velocity. THE ALIGNMENT Five named targets to aim at, drawn against what the box actually achieves, with up to three saved alignments overlaid for comparison. STRAIGHT THROUGH TO THE BUILD The drawing and the workshop work from one set of figures: the dimensioned panel cut list, the damping schedule and the crossover parts list all come off the box you just solved, not off a second guess. NOTHING WORKED OUT BEHIND YOUR BACK Spekar never computes anything you cannot check - every figure traces back to a parameter you entered or measured yourself. ON THE DEVICE It runs offline in the units you set, and the photographs you take stay on the phone for you to replace or delete.
