The Govt.nz app is your trusted place to access New Zealand government services, stay updated, and store digital credentials. - Find helpful information on accessing and using government services. - Browse by topic or by important life stages and changes. - Pin useful tools and important health and support numbers to personalise your Govt.nz home screen. - Add eligible digital credentials — such as IDs, licences and certificates — and store them securely on your device. We’re busy working behind the scenes to bring more features to the app. Give us your feedback from inside the app to tell us what features would better help you access New Zealand government services.

What's new

Get official emergency alerts and MetService severe weather warnings — together, in one place. This release brings NEMA and MetService feeds into a single app for the first time. You can save up to three locations you care about, and choose your notifications settings to get every alert, or just the highest-severity ones. You can send yourself a test alert when you set up locations and notifications, so you know it's working - and then forget it's there until you need it.
