GoToor er en varslingsapp som gjør det mulig for deg å varsle vennene dine når du skal på tur. Den er enkel å bruke, først legger du inn tre kontakter fra telefonen din og fyller inn de nødvendige feltene; antall personer som skal på tur, sted, beskrivelse av aktivitet, og når du planlegger å være tilbake. Du deler også markøren på kartet som viser GPS-koordinatene dine. Så velger du bare aktiver, og dermed får de tre kontaktene en melding som informerer dem om turen din. Nå vet de hva du gjør, og hvor du skal. Og når du planlegger å være tilbake. En halvtime før du etter planen skal være tilbake, får du et varsel i GoToor, hvis turen er avsluttet, deaktiverer du og kontaktene dine får en melding som bekrefter av du er tilbake. Hvis du av en eller annen grunn ikke deaktiverer, og det går en halv time over det tidspunktet hvor du hadde planlagt å være tilbake, sender GoToor en melding til de tre kontaktene dine, og ber dem om å kontakte deg. Og hvis du fortsatt ikke har deaktivert 90 minutter etter at du skulle ha vært tilbake, sender GoToor en melding til de tre kontaktene dine og anbefaler dem å kontakte hverandre. På den måten går det bare mellom 30 og 90 minutter fra noe kan ha skjedd, til noen prøver å finne ut om alt er bra med deg.
