Cinderway: Wasteland Racer

The world has burned down, and two aliens are stranded on it. Their only way home is the last open road. Cinderway is an offline arcade road racer through a post-apocalyptic wasteland: a red hover space car, a ticking clock, a scavenged radio and a road that splits at the end of every stage. Beat the clock Every checkpoint adds precious seconds. Weave through scavenger traffic that changes lanes without warning (well, almost: watch the blinkers), take the bends flat out and reach the next gate before time runs out. Choose your way home The road forks at the end of every stage. Fifteen hand-made stages branch out towards five destinations: an oil-black ash beach, scrapyard canyons, a city buried in rust dunes, a graveyard of wind turbines, nuclear winter, crater fields, a dead megacity, a red dusk, a drowned city, a toxic mire, neon ruins in acid rain, a reactor valley, a broken highway and ground zero itself. Four ways to play • Arcade: race through five forking stages to one of five destinations. • Time Trial: race your own ghost on any stage and chase your split times. • Rival Race: start last and beat five hover racers to the line. • Endless: a road that never ends and keeps getting faster and busier. Drift, boost and grab Steer hard into a bend to drift and charge a boost, then let go to blast out of the corner. Pick up bonus items on the road: super boosts, shields, extra seconds and scrap for points. Pass traffic with inches to spare for near-miss bonuses. Very explosive traffic Touch another car and it goes up in a ridiculous mushroom cloud, car parts raining down, while you come to a dead stop and have to build up speed again. With a shield you just plough on. Pirate radio Tune the scavenged car radio to one of three original stations: dark synthwave, industrial and desert rock. Retro look Low-poly wasteland scenery and futuristic cars with a chunky pixel filter, smoky skies and parallax horizons. Plays offline No account, no ads and no data collection.
