Carta Nova

Carta Nova is a lightweight, field-focused offline map viewer built for professionals, researchers, and outdoor enthusiasts who need reliable spatial data where the internet is not available. View your precise location in real-time and work with your own custom map files completely offline—no network connection required. Key Features: • Field-Focused Design: Built specifically for offline field operations, remote surveys, and wilderness navigation where cellular reception is unavailable. • 100% Offline Performance: Carta Nova operates entirely without internet access. Your maps load quickly and reliably, even when you are completely off the grid. • Import Custom Maps: Easily load your own compatible map files directly into the application from your device storage to view custom geographic data in the field. • Live GPS Tracking: View your real-time position on your imported maps. Ideal for navigating unfamiliar terrain, field mapping, or tracking your movement visually. • Clean & Lightweight: No heavy background processes, no battery-draining background tasks, and no bloated feature sets. Just you and your maps. Strict Privacy & Security: Your privacy is our priority. Carta Nova does not require account creation, collects zero personal information, and features no hidden analytics tools or advertising networks. Because the app does not connect to the internet, your data physically cannot leave your phone. Required Permissions & How They Are Used: • Location (GPS): Required to display your current position locally on the map. Your coordinates are processed entirely on your device and are never saved, stored, or shared. • Storage Access: Required to browse your local device files so you can explicitly choose and import your custom map datasets.
