Store listing

Full description
Nitro is a private messenger built for the post-quantum era. Every message is end-to-end encrypted with a hybrid handshake that combines modern elliptic-curve cryptography with NIST post-quantum algorithms (ML-KEM-768 key encapsulation and ML-DSA-65 signatures), so your conversations stay private even against a future quantum adversary. The same protocol engine is shared across platforms and verified byte-for-byte against a reference implementation. • Post-quantum end-to-end encryption on every message • Your identity keys are generated on-device and never uploaded • Forward secrecy and post-compromise security via a Double Ratchet • Sealed sender — the server does not learn who is talking to whom • Key Transparency: your contacts' keys are publicly auditable, so nobody can silently swap them No ads. No trackers. Your address book is never uploaded. Nitro is under active development.

What's new

Nitro 1.2.4 — calls and polish. Fixed: Bluetooth headsets and car kits now work on calls. Nitro was never asking for the permission Android needs to route call audio to them, so a call taken on AirPods had nowhere to send sound. Fixed: the status bar disappeared on phones set to light mode, and the QR code screens were drawn underneath the status bar and the navigation bar. Always end-to-end encrypted with post-quantum cryptography.
