RecallDeck

RecallDeck is a flashcard app built around one idea: a card should come back just before you would have forgotten it. Answer it, and the app decides when you see it next. SPACED REPETITION THAT EXPLAINS ITSELF Each card starts with two short learning steps, one minute and ten minutes, and then moves into review. From there the gap grows with every correct answer: one day, a few days, a week, a month. Four buttons — Again, Hard, Good, Easy — and under every one of them the app prints exactly when that card would return if you pick it. Nothing is hidden behind a setting you cannot see. DECKS THAT STAY MANAGEABLE Put cards into as many decks as you like, each with its own colour and its own daily limits for new cards and reviews. A deck of two thousand cards will never hand you two thousand cards: it gives you the day's share and keeps the rest for later. “Study All Due” walks every deck in one sitting, respecting all of those limits. WRITING AND IMPORTING CARDS A card is a front, a back and an optional hint. Tick “Reverse card too” and the mirror card is created with it, so a word can be practised in both directions. Already have a word list? Import a CSV file with a front and a back column — the app reads quoted fields, commas inside fields and line breaks correctly. Any deck can be exported back to CSV through the Android share sheet. SEARCH, FILTERS AND PAUSING Search across fronts, backs and hints, and filter a deck by New, Learning, Review or Suspended. A card you are not ready for can be suspended: it leaves the queue and keeps all of its progress until you bring it back. PROGRESS WORTH LOOKING AT The Progress screen shows your streak of study days, how many answers you gave on each of the last seven days, how many cards return on each of the next seven, and how often you remembered a card instead of pressing Again. One number per question, no dashboards. PRIVATE AND OFFLINE No account, no sign-in, no ads, no analytics, no network requests at all. Your decks, your cards and your review history stay in the private storage of the app on your device. An optional daily reminder tells you how many cards are due and never shows what is on a card.
