Amberos puts a working physics engine in your hands. Choose between a counterweight trebuchet, a torsion onager and a two-arm ballista, then tune every mechanism parameter yourself on custom-drawn sliders: counterweight mass, beam ratio, sling length, release timing, draw and torque. Nothing you see 👀 is a canned animation 🎬 - every arc traced across the range is the output of a real numerical integrator running on the exact numbers 🔢 currently set on your machine. Once a machine is dialed in, fire it across the test range at a target 🎯 you drag ✋ into place, and watch 👀 the projectile follow the computed trajectory in real time ⏱️. A results panel breaks down the range, impact angle, flight time and error in metres, and a full-screen inspector lets you scrub the whole arc point by point. Every shot you like can be logged, replayed later, or loaded back into the workshop for another attempt. For the more analytical player ▶️, Amberos includes a sweep tool 🛠️ that charts 📊 how range responds as you vary a single parameter across its whole domain, complete with an optimum marker and a comparison curve against a past shot. Twelve firing trials set distance and wind objectives to chase, and clearing them unlocks new ✨ components - heavier counterweights, braided slings, hardwood arms and denser projectiles - that change how your machines actually perform. You can even attach a photo of your real test rig to any logged shot to keep a record of your build alongside the numbers.
