Full description
qIV Remote turns your phone into a remote control for QuickImageViewer (qIV), the free portable image viewer for Windows 10 and 11. Connect over your own Wi-Fi and drive the viewer from the sofa, from across the room, or from wherever the screen is not. TYPE PART OF A NAME. THE RIGHT PICTURE OPENS. Go to name is a fuzzy find, not a search box. Type "sunset", or "0042", or the middle of a filename you only half remember, and the desktop jumps to the closest match in the folder. Use * and ? when you know the shape but not the text. Go to # jumps straight to a position instead. In forty pictures, Next is fine. In four thousand, this is the only way to arrive somewhere on purpose — and a phone keyboard is the worst place on earth to type a thirty-character camera filename. WHAT YOU CAN DO • Next, previous, first, last — move through the folder without touching the PC • Go to name and Go to #, the two ways to jump straight to a picture • Slideshow: start, pause, loop, shuffle, and set the interval • Zoom in, out, reset, or jump to an exact percentage • Rotate and flip, and switch between the five view modes • Grayscale, invert and sepia effects, and reset them • Fullscreen, always-on-top, and move the window to the next monitor • Live preview of whatever the desktop is showing, right on your phone • Save the picture the desktop is displaying straight to your phone's gallery • Send photos FROM your phone TO the big screen, one at a time or as a slideshow you drive from here FOUR SCREENS Simple — big buttons, nothing else. For a phone held in one hand in a dark room. Advanced — every control, with the live preview and the current file name. Watch — the preview edge to edge, and nothing in the way. Stream — pick photos on your phone and push them to the desktop. Each saved computer remembers which screen it opens on, so the machine wired to the television and the one on your desk can behave differently. TRY IT WITHOUT A PC No QuickImageViewer yet? Tap "Try it without a desktop" on the first screen. Demo mode runs every part of the app — including everything the unlock adds — against a viewer that does not exist. No setup, no network connection, nothing to configure. FREE, AND THE FULL VERSION Free: one saved computer, the Simple remote, and every part of the security. TLS, certificate pinning and password authentication are included and always will be. One optional purchase adds the Advanced remote, Watch, Stream, saving pictures to your gallery, swipe gestures on Simple, and as many saved computers as you like. Buy once. No subscription. BUILT FOR A PRIVATE NETWORK • Connections are encrypted with TLS, and the server's certificate is pinned — the app refuses a certificate it has not been shown and warns you if one changes • Password authentication, never sent in the clear • The desktop's own AllowList decides which devices may connect at all • Commands that would alter files — delete, move, save — cannot be sent over the wire at all. The desktop refuses them by design NO ADS. NO TRACKING. NO ACCOUNT. No advertising, no analytics, no crash reporting, no tracking identifiers, no sign-up, and no server of ours anywhere in the picture. The app asks for no permission that can read your files, your location, your contacts or your identity. It uses the internet to reach the computer you typed in, checks whether you are on Wi-Fi so Stream can stay off mobile data, and talks to Google Play only if you buy the unlock. Photos you send are picked with Android's own photo picker, so the app never gets access to your gallery. YOU NEED THE DESKTOP APP qIV Remote controls QuickImageViewer, a free download for Windows: https://icyhoty2k.github.io/QuickImageViewer/ In qIV, press F9 to open Local Server, switch it on, choose a port, and add your phone to the AllowList. The app's About screen walks you through it.
