「母親の病気を治す為に、少女は旅に出た……」『ま～する』は、数式を作る事を様々なシステムに組み込んだストーリーRPGです。序章を皮切りとした、一連のシリーズ作品として作成されています。シリーズ最初の作品である本作は、・シンプルな数式を作るパズルを用いたターンベースの戦闘・移動先を大まかに選択するマップ移動画面・一人称視点で経路を移動するフィールド移動画面・ビジュアルノベル的なストーリー進行これらの要素で構成されています。全体に一本筋の進行で、プレイ時間は１時間半程度を想定しています。進行の前半は、主人公である少女マリエルが最初の街ソーリスに到着するまでの冒険で、マップを移動しつつ、モンスターと戦闘をしながら目的地まで向かいます。そして、後半は、ソーリスに到着後、少年タイラーと出会い、共同生活を始めるまでのストーリーのみの進行となっています。
