EbookNetworking is the catalogue behind ebooknetworking.net, in an app: search it, shelve it, follow the authors you like, and get told when something you want gets cheaper. BROWSE WITHOUT AN ACCOUNT Searching, book pages, reviews, categories, authors, publishers, deals, recently added, the shared shelves and the blog are all open. No sign-up wall, no pop-up asking for your email, no account needed to read. A FRONT PAGE SOMEBODY CHOSE The home screen is curated, not computed: editors pick the books that go on it and can promote a whole category to it, so what you see first is a recommendation rather than a list. Search, book pages, reviews and the shared shelves below it need no account at all. SEARCH THAT ACTUALLY NARROWS Search by title, author, publisher or keyword across the market you choose. Filter by category, sort the results, and open a book for the cover, the description, the price, the rating, the reviews and the books related to it. Categories, authors and publishers each have their own screen, and "Surprise me" opens a random book when you cannot decide. KEEP A SHELF Sign in and organise what you find: Want to read, Reading, Read, or shelves you name yourself. Change a status with one tap, or add one book to several shelves at once. Your shelf is private until you decide otherwise. SHARE A SHELF, OR BORROW ONE Publish any shelf you have built and it becomes a page other readers can open, follow and search — by its name, by the words you wrote about it, and by the books on it. Every published shelf has a link of its own: send it, post it, or copy it, and it opens for anybody whether or not they have the app. Browse the shelves other readers have published, or search the catalogue and find the shelves that fit what you typed. Nothing is published until it is reviewed, and you can withdraw it whenever you like. FOLLOW AUTHORS Follow the authors you care about and hear when they release something new in your market, muted per author whenever you want quiet. PRICE ALERTS Get told when a book on your shelf falls below the lowest price it has been in the last 30 days, with the book and the numbers. Alerts land in the app's own Alerts inbox, and you choose which kinds you want. REVIEWS AND RATINGS Read what other readers thought, or leave your own rating and review. Reviews you post appear on the website's book page too, because it is one catalogue and one set of reviews. Any review can be reported. HOW-TO GUIDES, IN THE APP The Blog tab is a set of guides with screenshots: how to build a bookshelf, how to share one, how to claim your book as its author, how to promote it, how to get price alerts, how to search properly. Written for this app, readable inside it. FOR AUTHORS Create an author profile, claim your books by ASIN, and open a sponsored placement so your book appears in search results. Sponsored placements are always labelled "Sponsored", and they never reorder organic results. Free while the programme is in beta. MAKE IT YOURS Nine colour schemes, light and dark (or follow the phone), five text sizes, your country and currency, and your time zone. The sidebar carries every screen in the app, so anywhere is two taps away. A FEW THINGS THIS APP IS NOT No third-party ads or ad networks, and no advertising SDK. No in-app purchases. No card details. No contacts, location, photos or files — it asks for none of those permissions. Buying is handled by Amazon: tapping "Buy on Amazon" opens the book's page with the site's own affiliate link, in the app or your browser. Your account, your shelf, your follows and your alerts are the only things we store, and the privacy policy spells out exactly what and how to delete it. The catalogue is the one ebooknetworking.net publishes, which includes books and other products available on Amazon — so a search can return more than books, and "recently added" follows whatever the site has added.
