BGB - Gambling Blocker

Block gambling and betting sites on your phone and get support to quit gambling. BGB (Digital Gambling Shield; bgbapp) is a gambling blocker that blocks betting, casino, slot and gambling sites across your whole device with one tap, and helps you stay gambling-free with a trusted supporter and progress tracking. ✔ Gambling and betting site blocker for browsers and apps ✔ Supporter: someone you trust is notified if you try to open a blocked site ✔ Gambling-free day counter, 90-day goal and money saved ✔ Daily urge check-in ✔ Privacy: your page content, messages and passwords are never seen BGB uses Android VpnService to run a local, on-device DNS filter that blocks gambling and betting domains. Only DNS requests pass through this local interface; general internet traffic is not tunneled to a remote server, and BGB does not inspect page content, messages or passwords. BGB is a digital safety application designed for people who want to quit or reduce online gambling and betting. It acts as a protective shield by reducing easy access to gambling websites and online betting services during moments of impulse. HOW ANDROID PROTECTION WORKS On Android, BGB uses Android VPNService to create a local, DNS-only filtering interface. VPNService is necessary for BGB to apply gambling-domain protection across browsers and applications on the device. Only DNS requests are routed through the BGB protection service. DNS requests are forwarded to the BGB resolver using an encrypted HTTPS/DNS-over-HTTPS connection. General internet traffic is not tunneled through BGB. BGB does not change your location, redirect advertising traffic, or inspect page contents, messages, passwords or other communications. Domain-name information required for filtering is used only to provide gambling protection, security and related accountability features. It is not sold or used for advertising. Protection is enabled only after the user reviews the disclosure, provides consent and accepts the Android VPN system permission. Users can disable protection at any time. Known betting, casino and gambling domains are blocked in the background. You can continue using other applications and websites normally while BGB prevents access to identified gambling services. BGB is especially helpful for: - Individuals who want to stop or control their gambling behaviour. - Families who want to support a loved one dealing with online gambling. - Therapists, coaches and support groups that need a practical digital tool for relapse prevention. KEY FEATURES - Device-level gambling-domain protection using DNS filtering. - Automatic blocking of known gambling and betting domains across websites and applications. - Simple setup with step-by-step guidance. - Add a trusted supporter for accountability and support. - A verified supporter may receive an alert following a blocked risky-access attempt. - Track progress using a clean-day counter, estimated savings and calendar. - View the current protection status inside the application. - Works with existing mobile data and Wi-Fi connections. - Protection can be enabled or disabled by the user. BGB does not aim to punish the user. It helps remove easy access to triggers and supports the creation of a safer digital environment for recovery. The application is designed as one part of a wider support system that may include therapy, family support and financial counselling. IMPORTANT BGB does not provide financial, medical or psychological advice. It cannot block every possible online risk, but it can significantly reduce access to known online gambling services. For best results, use BGB together with professional support and a clear recovery plan.
