Ünsal Ünlü Podcast Player

An application which allows users to listen to Unsal Unlu’s podcasts in a compact, easy to use manner. Unsal Unlu is an independent journalist in Turkey. His podcasts are in Turkish, so is the application. This application includes ads. All possible income from those ads will be funneled to Unsal Unlu (WITHOUT ANY CUT under names like commission, service fee, expense etc.). Features of the application are as follows: • Lists podcasts, in descending order of publish date, i.e. the most recent podcast is at the top of the list. Older podcasts get loaded when the list is flicked upward • Could be used online or offline (only if podcasts are downloaded earlier when online) • Each podcast is published with an associated image. These images of podcasts are presented in the list. A larger versions of images could be displayed once tapped on • Only a single podcast can be played at a time • While playing, a podcast can be fast-forwarded or re-winded for 10 seconds, paused or played where it was left off. • Playing position could be set using the sliders for each podcast • Each podcast remembers where they are. When resumed they pick off where they were left off • When a podcast ends, if available, more recent podcasts get played automatically • Listening history for each podcast is remembered even if the application is stopped and resumed • Works with wired or (compatible) blue-tooth ear buds/phones. If connection drops, podcast is paused automatically. When the connection is re-established, it is resumed • Podcasts could be downloaded to be played later offline • Download operation is indicated by a progress bar • If an error occurs during the download of a podcast, progress bar is replaced temporarily with icon to indicate the error. After a few seconds, this red icon is again replaced by a regular download icon so that the user can try to download the same podcast once more • When download operation succeeds, progress bar is replaced with icon to indicate that everything is OK • How much storage space is taken by downloaded podcasts could be found out from Menu-Storage screen and on the same screen, all offline podcast files could be deleted by tapping on button • Online or Offline mode could be selected from Menu-Settings screen • If offline mode is selected, only downloaded podcasts are displayed on the app screen • While working in Online mode, if a podcast has previously downloaded files ready, these files are used for playing the podcast and downloading/streaming the same podcast is avoided • When Offline mode is selected, application theme gets changed and an icon at the title bar is changed to indicate the app state • Introduction music at the beginning of every podcast could be skipped. User can select the amount of time to skip in seconds from the start of a podcast on Menu-Settings screen • Initially application gets its theme from the system. However user can override this setting using Menu-Setting screen. User can select dark or light themes • When and older podcast completes, closest most recent podcast, which has not completely listened gets played next even if there are few seconds left on that podcast. However, user have the option to skip last few minutes of a podcast using Menu-Settings screen as well, where user can select the time frame to skip in seconds • User can see what she can do to support Unsal Unlu on Menu-Support screen • All the libraries and their developers are credited on Menu-Thanks screen • More detailed information about the application could be found on Menu-About screen
