SaveIt: Zero-Based Budget

SaveIt is a zero-based budget you can actually keep. Money that arrives gets assigned a job — rent, groceries, the trip in October — and what is left over is the honest answer to "what can I spend right now?" WHAT YOU DO IN IT Plan the month. Build categories in groups that match how you think about money, then allocate income across them until nothing is unassigned. Log spending in seconds. Type it the way you would say it — "23 on groceries yesterday" — and the composer works out the amount, the category and the date. Or fill the form yourself; both end up in the same place. Let bills post themselves. Set a recurring transaction once and it lands on schedule, so rent and subscriptions stop being a monthly surprise. Subscriptions get their own view of what renews and when. Fund goals on purpose. Give a goal a target and a date, put money into it from the budget, and watch the balance move as you contribute. See where it went. Reports break the month down by category, by trend and against what you planned. Carry the month over your way.
