giut.me is the app that sets up your giut.me NFC tag: you create your emergency profile, write it to the tag on your helmet and update it whenever you want. Whoever comes to help holds their phone against the tag and reads your details straight away. No app to install, no account, no codes. HOW IT WORKS 1. Stick the giut.me tag wherever you like: motorcycle or bike helmet, skis, frame, backpack. 2. Open the app, fill in your emergency profile and write it to the tag by following the instructions. 3. Hold your phone against the tag to check that everything reads correctly. WHAT YOU CAN DO IN THE APP • Build your emergency profile: people to call, blood type, allergies, medical conditions, current treatment and anything else a first responder needs to know • Write the profile to your NFC tag • Update your details and rewrite the tag as many times as you like: the tag stays the same • Manage several tags linked to the same profile, for example your motorcycle helmet and your bike helmet • Choose how your details are shown: online or offline mode ONLINE AND OFFLINE MODE In online mode your details open in a clearer, easier to read web page: a connection is required. In offline mode your details are written inside the tag itself and stay readable with no signal at all, out where help takes longer to arrive and there is no coverage. YOUR DATA STAYS YOURS Your health details never pass through our servers: they live in the tag, on your helmet. You choose what to put in, you can wipe it whenever you want, there is no profiling and we sell nothing to anyone. NFC only reads at close contact, a few centimetres away: more private than an engraved bracelet, which anyone can read at a glance, or a QR code, which can be photographed from a distance. WHO IT IS FOR Road cycling, gravel and MTB. Motorcycling. Skiing on and off piste. Mountaineering and high altitude trekking. Any activity where you head out alone, far from home, or where help can be slow to arrive. WHY YOUR PHONE IS NOT ENOUGH The tag stays with you even when your phone is broken, dead, locked or thrown clear in a crash. It has no battery, needs no maintenance and stands up to water, UV rays and temperature swings. IMPORTANT You need a giut.me NFC tag to use this app, available at giut.me. On its own, the app does not write to other manufacturers' tags. Your phone needs NFC switched on to write the tag. No subscription: you pay for the tag once and the app is free.
