Rho MD: More Than Markdown

Rho MD is more than a Markdown app. It is one beautiful, powerful place to read, write, organize what you know, manage your time and think with an AI assistant — local-first, with every note a plain file on your device. READ • Book-quality typography for .md, .mdx and .markdown files, in light or dark • Flowcharts, math, tables, code with syntax highlighting, and live interactive charts • Book layout for long documents: read by pages, not one endless scroll • Highlight as you read; bookmarks and an outline keep your place WRITE • Tap any paragraph and type: the document itself is the editor • Formulas, footnotes and images stay intact while you edit • Switch to the Markdown source at any time • Free-form canvas boards for visual thinking, saved as plain Markdown ORGANIZE YOUR KNOWLEDGE • Psi, the built-in library: every note in one place, grouped into constellations • Psi Star Map: your notes as stars, your links as the lines between them • Links between notes, tags, daily notes and full-text search • A home page with today's note, your focus and your recent files MANAGE YOUR TIME • A Pomodoro timer and a stopwatch, with a button for each thing you work on • A daily goal for each activity, and today's progress at a glance • A statistics dashboard: focus by day, month and year, the notes you created and edited, your diary streak • A calendar where every day shows its focus time, notes and diary AI ASSISTANT • Ask Rho AI about your own library; answers point back to your notes • Research reports with numbered sources that have been checked • Turn web pages, Word and PDF files into clean Markdown notes • Before your first message, Rho AI shows what will leave your device LOCAL-FIRST • Your notes are plain Markdown files in folders you choose — nothing is locked in • Rho MD works fully without an account, and your library stays on your device • An optional rho.md account adds cloud backup and private sharing for free; a subscription adds sync for the folders you choose across your devices, publishing to Discover and Rho AI. There are no purchases inside the app. ACCESSIBILITY • Screen reader labels throughout the app Discover is a feed of documents the community publishes; you can report any document and block its author.
