M8 Painting Tools

M8 Painting Tools is a practical visual analysis app for painters. Before you spend hours painting, you can quickly check the hidden structure of your reference image. The app helps you study values, composition, drawing, and color relationships before you start painting. The app is designed for oil painters, realist artists, art students, and anyone who wants to understand an image before turning it into a painting. Main features: Value Checker Study the value structure of your reference image. Convert your image into simplified value maps and better understand the relationship between highlights, halftones, and shadows. Composition Checker Analyze the structure of your image using painter-friendly overlays. Check balance, grids, diagonals, and overall composition before you start painting. Color Checker Explore the main color relationships in your reference and better understand the palette behind the image. Painter-focused workflow M8 Painting Tools is not a generic photo editor. It is designed as a studio tool for artists who want to make stronger visual decisions before and during the painting process. Painters often struggle not because they cannot paint details, but because the underlying structure of the image is unclear. Values may be too close, the composition may feel weak, or the color relationships may be confusing. M8 Painting Tools helps you slow down, simplify the image, and see the foundation more clearly. It can be useful for checking references before painting, planning still life paintings, studying light and shadow, simplifying complex images, comparing values, understanding composition, and preparing stronger painting studies. The goal is simple: help painters see better before they paint. Images used inside the tools are intended to be processed locally in the browser for normal analysis. The app does not require user accounts. M8 Painting Tools is built by artist Jan Matejak / M8art to help painters see structure more clearly before they paint.
