Topical

TOPICAL is a discussion and ranking platform for trending topics and real news. Vote, comment, and follow the conversations that matter to you — no account required to get started. HOW IT WORKS Every topic has a "heat" score based on votes and activity. The hottest, most active discussions rise to the top. The same ranking formula applies to everyone — there's no hidden, personalized feed deciding what you see. VOTE WITHOUT AN ACCOUNT Guest votes count in full. You don't need to sign up to meaningfully affect a topic's ranking, though creating an account unlocks commenting under a consistent identity, following, friending, and messaging. REAL NEWS AND COMMUNITY TOPICS Browse and discuss real news alongside topics the community starts itself — technology, sports, entertainment, business, world events, and everyday questions, all in one place. DIRECT MESSAGES Messages are ephemeral: each one disappears 5 minutes after it's opened. Messages from people you haven't friended land in a separate Message Requests tab, so your main inbox stays for people you know. SAFETY AND MODERATION Every uploaded image is automatically screened before it goes live. Topics, comments, and users can all be reported for review, and you can block anyone from messaging or friending you, with a private blocked-users list only you can see. FIND AND START GOOD DISCUSSIONS In-app guides help you turn an idea, question, or current event into a discussion other people can actually engage with — how to frame it, why it matters, and how to leave room for different points of view. Whether you're here to vote on what's trending, dig into real news, or start a conversation of your own, TOPICAL keeps ranking transparent and puts the community's voice front and center.
