PinUs

PinUs is a private way to stay connected with the people who matter most. Share your live location with family and friends — not with a company. PinUs is self-hosted, meaning it runs on a server chosen by whoever set it up for your group, not a big tech platform mining your data for ads. How it works Create a "circle" with the people you want to stay connected with — your family, your closest friends, whoever you trust. Invite them with a simple code. Once they're in, you can see each other's location on a shared map in real time. Key features: 📍 Live location sharing — See where your circle members are, updated in real time, right on the map. 🏠 Places & alerts — Save meaningful locations like home, school, or work, and get notified automatically when someone arrives or leaves. 💬 Circle chat — A private space to message your circle without leaving the app. 🔗 Temporary location links — Need to share your location with someone outside your circle, just once? Generate a link that works without them needing an account, and turn it off whenever you want. 🎨 Customize your presence — Choose your pin color, set a status message, or go invisible on the map when you need privacy. 🔒 You're in control — Turn location sharing on or off anytime. Mute or remove members from a circle you own. Delete your account and all your data whenever you choose. Built for trust, not tracking PinUs doesn't sell your data or show you ads based on where you've been. Your location history, messages, and account details stay on the server your circle uses — not sent off to third-party advertisers. Chat messages and place-visit logs are automatically deleted after 7 days. Perfect for: Parents keeping track of kids getting to school safely Families coordinating who's home, who's out, and when to expect each other Friend groups meeting up who want to see how close everyone is Anyone who wants "I'm safe" to be automatic, not a text they have to remember to send Because it works in the background, PinUs can quietly let your circle know you've arrived somewhere safely — without you needing to open the app or think about it.
