NextKey is an app for sharing secrets safely: passwords, seed phrases and private messages that someone encrypts for you alone. You open them on your phone. Nobody reads along in between. HOW IT WORKS 1. You show your NextKey ID, for example NK-9F3KD-2M0RQ-7XB4T. 2. The sender encrypts the text for that exact ID. 3. NextKey finds what is meant for you and decrypts it on your device. WHAT NEXTKEY IS USED FOR - Leaving a seed phrase or recovery phrase with someone you trust - Crypto inheritance: the access is ready, and only one person can read it - Passing credentials around a team, without chat, email or screenshots - Sending a password to someone far away WHAT THE APP CAN DO - Show your NextKey ID, copy it, share it as a QR code - Scan QR codes - Watch ENS names and tell you when something is there for you - Decrypt locally, behind your fingerprint, face or device PIN - Notify you if you want. WHAT THE APP DOES NOT DO NextKey has no account and no sign-in. It holds no money and no crypto assets, signs no transactions and collects no usage data. No password and no message leaves your device in the clear. YOUR KEY STAYS WITH YOU The app holds exactly one key: the one others encrypt to. It lives in the Android Keystore, in no cloud backup and on no server. Lose the phone and you derive it again on nextkey.li with your wallet. ENCRYPTION X25519 for key exchange, HKDF-SHA256 for derivation, AES-256-GCM for the content. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Do I need an account? No. No sign-up, no email address. Can NextKey see my passwords? No. Decryption happens only on your device. What does it cost? Nothing. Free and without ads. Do I need a wallet?
