Full description
NotifyHook is a notification forwarder. It reads the notifications that arrive on your phone, from the apps you choose, and forwards each one to your own webhook URL as a JSON HTTP POST. The direction matters: notifications go out from your phone to your server. NotifyHook does not give you a webhook URL for sending push alerts to your phone. It does the opposite, turning your phone's notifications into webhook calls for your automations. HOW IT WORKS 1. Grant Notification Access in Android settings (you can revoke it any time). 2. Create a rule: pick the source apps and optional keyword filters. 3. Enter your webhook URL. When a matching notification arrives, NotifyHook POSTs a JSON payload to it over HTTPS. WHAT PEOPLE USE IT FOR • Trigger n8n, Node-RED, Make or Zapier webhook workflows from app notifications. • Send delivery, doorbell or calendar alerts to Home Assistant. • Log payment and invoice notifications to a spreadsheet or database. • Relay alerts from one app into Slack, Discord or Telegram through your own automation. • Feed notifications from your home lab apps into your own API. Works with any endpoint that accepts an HTTP POST: your own server, a self-hosted automation tool, or a cloud webhook URL. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No cloud backend and no developer servers. Notifications go only to the webhook URLs you configure. • No analytics, no third-party tracking, no account. • No location and no telephony identifiers. • Auth headers, tokens and signing secrets are stored only in encrypted local storage. • Event logs are automatically scrubbed of credentials. JSON YOU CONTROL • Per-rule JSON template: app, title, text, timestamp and more. • Opt-in payload fields. Nothing beyond a minimal safe set is sent unless you enable it. • Optional device and context variables (battery, connectivity, time and more), each off by default. • HMAC SHA-256 request signing so your server can verify every call. • Custom headers, with sensitive values masked and encrypted. RELIABLE DELIVERY • Offline and failed deliveries are queued and retried with exponential backoff. • Wi-Fi-only delivery option and a master pause switch. • An event log with delivery status, HTTP response and manual retry. FAIR PRICING • The free tier is fully useful: forwarding, HMAC signing, encrypted secrets and the event log are always free. • Security and privacy features are never behind a paywall. • An optional one-time Pro unlock adds richer variables, advanced filtering, backup/import and a custom accent color. No subscription, no ads, no tracking. NotifyHook needs Notification Access, which you grant in system settings and can revoke at any time. Notifications can contain sensitive data, so you choose exactly which apps are forwarded and where they go.

What's new

• Secret fields (the HMAC signing secret and header secrets) are now marked as passwords for your keyboard, so typed values no longer appear in suggestions or get learned into your dictionary. • The signing secret field is now single-line. • Updated libraries and build tooling.
