Store listing

Full description
Simple UPnP Server brings your media library together — on your phone, on a USB drive or SD card, and on a NAS — and plays it on the TVs, AV receivers, consoles and players in your home. Players browse it as a DLNA/UPnP media server, or you pick a player in the app and play from your phone. No cloud, no account, no ads. ▶ One library from every source Share folders on the phone, on a USB drive or SD card, the device's own media, and shares on a NAS or PC (SMB). Their videos, music and photos join one library. The app keeps an index, so a large library is back almost at once after a restart, and a NAS's files stay listed while it is off — they are read from the NAS only when played, seeking included. ▶ Media server Designed to work with as many DLNA-compatible devices as possible. TVs, game consoles and players (VLC, Kodi, PlayStation…) on the same Wi-Fi discover it automatically and browse and play everything you share, with seeking. Set the name players show, and optionally limit the server to chosen Wi-Fi networks (e.g. only at home). ▶ Labels Gather media into labels that players browse as folders, wherever the files are stored. Create a smart label just by typing a plain search — for example "2024 videos trip -mp4" — with a live preview as you type. Or hand-pick files (in the label editor, or check them in the Files tab and tap "Add to label"), or turn a shared folder into a label that keeps collecting what is added to it. Group labels bundle several labels into one, played in order. Sort each label by name, date or size, switch any on or off, nest them with a "/" in the name, and choose the order they appear in on your players. ▶ Cast — your phone becomes the remote The app is also the remote (a UPnP control point): pick a TV, AV receiver or Kodi and play files or labels on it directly. Labels play as playlists with shuffle and repeat; photos play as a slideshow. Control playback from the lock screen and notification, and the player's volume with your volume keys, with a mute button and an optional per-player volume ceiling. A mini player on every tab controls each playing player, queue included — add, drop, reorder or play next while it plays. Videos you cast resume where you stopped. With a player selected, the file list shows only what it can play, and the Files tab's tree shows the same folders your players browse. Pin the players you use most: they stay in the picker even while off, and a PC can be woken from sleep over the network. Also: a sleep timer, and buttons that skip 10 or 30 seconds. ▶ Status & diagnostics The Status tab shows each source — connected or not, how much is indexed, when a NAS was last scanned — and what players actually fetched, with badges for resolution, codec and the requesting player, handy for working out why a file won't play. A connection check runs through the usual reasons a player can't find the server. ▶ Private by design The server runs on Wi-Fi only and is never exposed over mobile data. The app collects nothing, contains no ads or trackers, and never sends your data off the device. NAS passwords are stored encrypted on the phone and left out of backups. ▶ Free version & Plus The free version shares one source: a folder, a NAS share, or the device's media. For the first 90 days after installation there is no file-count limit; afterwards up to 1000 each of images, audio and video. A one-time Plus purchase removes these limits. Labels are always unrestricted.

What's new

■ Cast fixes Queues on Kodi no longer stall at a track boundary; a track Kodi turns down while still opening the current one is offered again. A player that stops on a track is skipped after 20 seconds instead of being waited on forever; a stop on the player ends the queue. Dragging a queue entry past the visible rows lands it there. ■ Labels Editing a smart label keeps its grouping, period and subfolder setting. ■ Fixes "1 file", not "1 files"; thousands separators.
