Synopsis You still remember the first time you heard about the murders. Every victim was found with a painted face, and every killing was strange and unsettlingly precise. It didn't take long for the whole town to be talking about nothing else. Around the same time, a mysterious, beautiful transfer student named Kanon arrives at your school. She seems indifferent to everything and everyone. Then you become the key witness to a crime, one where the victim was last seen in the company of a clown. The very next day, you save Kanon from the killer clown. From that moment on, you, Kanon, and your childhood friend Yuka join forces to track down the killer and end this before anyone else dies. Characters Kanon — the cool-headed transfer student Quiet and extremely sharp, Kanon approaches everything with logic, though she's more than willing to experiment if it gets better results. For all her calm, she's remarkably stubborn, and once she's reached a conclusion, very little will move her. Behind the stoic exterior is a good deal of pride and a dry, sarcastic wit. Every so often she drops an unexpected remark or joke, either to break the tension or to needle whoever's nearby. And there seems to be a deeper reason behind both her arrival in town and her intense interest in the killer clown. At school she plays the composed honor student, glasses and polished manners included. Around you, that act drops completely, and what's underneath is relaxed, affectionate, and just a little lazy.
