GeoSmile is run by GeoTechnologies Inc., a digital map data development company in Japan. In order to keep digital maps in ideal shape, real-life data that allows for the depiction of live information (ie traffic jams, road closures, ideal routes, etc) are desirable. After the successful launch of TRIMA, which currently has over 19 million downloads in Japan, GeoSmile was created as the global version of the application. Due to the aid in creating digital map services TRIMA and GeoSmile app users provide the company through anonymized location data that allows for the collection of prior mentioned information, app users are compensated through points to be exchanged for e-gift cards. https://english.geot.jp/products/consumer_service/trip_mile/ Learn more: • Website: geosmile.app/ • Facebook: facebook.com/tripmile.app.global • Terms of Service/Privacy Policy: geosmile.app/privacypolicy
