訳ではなく原文で読みたい。けれど辞書を引く回数が多すぎて、二、三ページで力尽きる。そのための読書アプリです。 中国語、英語、漢文。著作権の保護期間が満了した名作を、原文のまま収めています。 ■ 辞書を引くために本を閉じない 中国語の本文にはピンイン、漢文にはルビが振ってあります。全文に出すことも、難しい語だけに絞ることも、消すこともできます。分からない語はタップすれば、その場で語釈が開きます。日本語訳も、漢文の書き下し文も、必要なときだけ出せます。 語釈は説明の要る語にだけ書いています。それ以外の語をタップしたときは、現代の辞書を引きます。英語の作品なら英和辞典です。どちらを見ているかは画面に出るので、取り違えることはありません。 読む速さを落とさないことを第一に作りました。 ■ 知っているつもりの語に印をつける 百年前の英語には、形はいまと同じなのに意味の違う語があります。late は「遅い」ではなく「故〜」。cried はほとんどが「泣いた」ではなく「叫んだ」。現代語として読んでも文が通ってしまうので、気づかないまま通り過ぎます。 そういう語にだけ印を付けました。知らない語は自分で気づけます。危ないのは、知っていると思い込んでいる語のほうです。 ■ 耳で確かめる 章ごとに朗読を用意しています。文をタップすればそこから読み上げ、続けて再生すれば、いま読んでいる文が光りながら自動で送られていきます。速度も変えられます。目だけでは気づけない区切りが、耳でわかります。 ■ 背景を知ってから読む 章ごとに解説を付けました。その場面が当時どういうことだったのかを書いています。先の章の筋には触れないので、読む前に開いても差し支えありません。 ■ 電波の届かないところで読む 一度取り込んだ章は端末に残ります。地下鉄でも、飛行機の中でも読めます。どの作品をどれだけ入れているかは、いつでも確認して減らせます。 ■ 読みかけの場所を覚えている どの章のどこまで読んだかを記憶します。アプリを閉じて、何日か経ってから開いても、続きから始められます。 ■ 収録作品 老舎『駱駝祥子』全24章（中国語） 北京の人力車夫・祥子の物語です。平易な口語で書かれていて、中国語の読み物としては入りやすい部類に入ります。十三万字あまり、一日一章なら一か月ほどで読み終えられます。 朱自清『散文選』5篇（中国語） 「背影」「荷塘月色」「匆匆」「春」「槳聲燈影裏的秦淮河」。短く、名文として読み継がれてきたものを選びました。長編に入る前の一冊として。 バーネット『小公女』全19章（英語） 1905年のロンドンが舞台です。およそ六万七千語。語彙そのものは平明ですが、百年前の英語なので、いまと意味の違う語には印を付けてあります。 『論語』全20篇（漢文） 縦書きで組んでいます。原文・書き下し文・日本語訳を切り替えて読めます。本文は通行本に揃えました。出土文献で字を改めた校改本ではなく、注釈書が解説し刊本が印刷してきたほうの字です。 作品は今後増やしていきます。「文庫」という名前は、一冊のためではなく、並んでいく棚のために付けました。 ■ 収録作品について 著作権の保護期間が満了した作品を収録しています。
