Full description
OFFICIAL DATA SOURCE European Product Registry for Energy Labelling (EPREL), European Commission: https://eprel.ec.europa.eu/ Verilabel is an independent app and does NOT represent a government entity. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by the European Commission, EPREL, or any other public authority. All product data comes from the public EPREL registry, which anyone can consult directly at the address above. The price tag tells you what the shop wants you to know. The energy label tells you what the manufacturer was legally required to declare. Verilabel reads the second one. Scan the QR code on the label, or type the brand and model: in seconds you get the record from the European EPREL registry, laid out and readable, with the source always in view. WHAT YOU FIND OUT BEFORE YOU PAY • how much it really consumes, on the current scale for its category; • how many years of software support are left, if it is a smartphone; • how repairable it is, and which factor drags the score down; • how many cycles the battery is rated for, and whether you can replace it; • what the registry does not declare about that product. EIGHT CATEGORIES Washing machines, dishwashers, refrigerators, tumble dryers, displays, smartphones and tablets, light sources, and tyres: the categories the European registry publishes a record for. For a washing machine you get the energy class, consumption per hundred cycles, water per cycle, noise and its class, capacity, spin speed, programme duration, and the declared guarantee. TYPE THE NAME, NOT THE CODE "iPhone 16" or "Galaxy S25" is enough: a catalogue that lives on your phone turns the commercial name into the registry code, and it works offline too. For appliances, the catalogue code is already the one printed on the machine. SAFE SCANNING Verilabel checks the QR code's domain before querying EPREL and does not open suspicious links. On Android it does not request the camera permission: reading happens inside the Google Play Services system interface, and the image never enters the app. WHERE THE DATA ENDS AND THE OPINION BEGINS Every record keeps two things apart: what the registry declares, with its source and registration number, and what Verilabel infers from it. No ticks, no badges, no score for the product: the judgement stays yours, with more in hand. FREE, FULL STOP No advertising, no in-app purchases, no subscription, no account. The server receives the brand and model you search for, and nothing else: no advertising identifier, no profile. Verilabel uses public information from EPREL. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by the European Commission. Whether data is present and complete depends on the product, the category, and what the registry publishes.
