Anonyme: Private Chat & Feed

Anonyme is an end-to-end encrypted messaging app that asks for no phone number, no email address and no name. There is no sign-up. When you open it, a pair of cryptographic keys is generated on your device: that is your identity. Your Anonyme ID is derived from it, and it is the only thing you share so that someone can write to you. WHAT IT DOES • End-to-end encrypted chats: X3DH key exchange and the Double Ratchet algorithm, with Ed25519 and X25519 curves and AES-256-GCM encryption. Every message is encrypted with a different key. • Private groups of up to 50 people, encrypted like a one-to-one chat: every message is encrypted separately for each member. • Encrypted photos, and voice and video calls between devices. • Disappearing messages that delete themselves when the timer runs out. Off by default. • A 12-word phrase to restore your identity on another device. • An optional username, to share your profile with a link. • Personal notes: an encrypted conversation with yourself. • 59 languages, with right-to-left support. TOR MODE You can route the app through the Tor network from Settings. It is off by default. With it on, the server stops seeing your IP address; in exchange, the app takes a few seconds to start and runs slower. It does not cover everything, and we say so here: calls do not go through Tor and still show your IP to the other person, and notifications arrive through Google services, outside the app. EXTERMINATION PASSWORD You can set a second password. If you type it on the lock screen, the app erases all your data from the phone, deletes your account from the server and opens empty, as if freshly installed. There is no confirmation, no undo and no backup. If you do not know why you would want this, do not turn it on. SOCIAL, AND WHAT IS NOT ENCRYPTED Anonyme includes a public section with communities and a classifieds board. There you take part under pseudonyms — a different one in each community — and your Anonyme ID never appears. Nothing posted in Social is end-to-end encrypted: it is public content and anyone can read it. On the board, whoever wants to reach you sends a request, and only if you accept does an encrypted chat open. Anonyme takes no commission and holds no funds. There is moderation, reporting and blocking on every post, comment and listing. PLANS Your first 7 days include the whole app. No card is asked for, and nothing is charged when the week ends. After that, reading and receiving are free forever. Writing needs a subscription: sending messages, voice notes, posting, commenting, calling and creating communities. There is a single monthly plan at $0.99, and Google sets the exact price for your country. Cancel any time from Google Play. WHAT WE DO NOT DO No ads. No trackers. No third-party analytics. We do not store IP addresses, your location, or your phone's contact list: if you grant permission to search it, it is read on your device and the numbers leave turned into codes we cannot read. Your contacts and your history live only on your device. BEFORE YOU INSTALL Your private keys are stored encrypted on your device and never leave it. If you lose the device and do not have your 12 words, you lose access to your identity permanently. There is no back door, not for us either.
