Sailing weather, racing and logs in one app. Check the wind before you go, plan the route, record every sail, and see how it went: tacks, polars, the fleet and the race. WIND, TIDE AND CURRENT Live readings from nearby stations and buoys on a map, with every forecast model side by side. The model closest to recent readings is marked, so you know which one to lean on today. Tidal currents through the passes, tide heights, and an hour-by-hour table for any spot. PLAN AND FOLLOW A ROUTE Plan a route on the map and see how long it takes under sail, from your boat's polar and the forecast, or under motor. The tacks are drawn in colour, and the route steers around land and shallows. Saved routes are shared with your boat and crew and work offline, and Onboard follows one with off-course cues. RECORD EVERY SAIL Record with your phone's GPS, or connect to your boat's instruments over its Wi-Fi for wind, boat speed and depth. A laptop or a small boat computer aboard can record every sail on its own. SEE HOW IT WENT Each sail on the chart and the log strip: speed, wind, tacks and gybes, against your boat's polar. Telltale points out what stood out, and your season adds up sail by sail. RACING Find races and regattas near you with entries, courses and notices. After the gun, replay the race with the fleet around you from AIS, and see where you gained and lost. ON YOUR WRIST The Telltale app for compatible Garmin watches brings wind, speed, depth, boat systems and a race countdown to your wrist. YOUR SAILS STAY YOURS Sessions are private by default, your home berth is hidden from anyone outside your crew. Download recordings as GPX, FIT or CSV. A free account supports two boats. Boat instrument readings need compatible equipment. Telltale is not a navigation aid.

What's new

Saved routes reach your boat and crew and work offline, and Onboard follows one with off-course cues. Onboard is now cards you swipe. Stopping a sail asks for a name, then Keep or Discard. Back and the keyboard behave, the map pans more smoothly, and many fixes.
