RecRun: Ghost Running

Run apart. See the results together. RecRun is an outdoor GPS running app: every course remembers the people who ran it before you, and they come back as ghosts to run beside you. RUN WITH GHOSTS Once a course has been run, those runs come back. You see how far ahead or behind each runner is, in real time, and your live position updates as you pass people. Nobody has to be running at the same time as you — that is the point. EVENT RACES WITH A PREMIERE Join an event and finish it whenever suits you during the entry window. Nobody sees anyone's rank until it closes. At the scheduled premiere time everyone opens the app together and watches every runner replayed on one track, with the final standings and medals revealed at once. Never having to meet at the same hour, and still opening the result in the same moment — no other running app works this way. Any member can host a free crew event, and crew leaders can host official races. YOUR LOCATION STAYS ON YOUR PHONE Runs are shared as anonymised checkpoint times — no coordinates, no timestamps. Your raw GPS trace never leaves the device. This is not a privacy setting you switch on; there is nothing to send in the first place. The only exception is publishing a course, and that is a separate button you press yourself, per save. BUILD A COURSE Draw a route on the map, or just start running and let your path become the course. Publish it and other runners can take it on. Keep it private and it never leaves your phone. CREWS Make a crew, pin a one-line notice above the chat, and recruit new members from the Courses tab. Join requests are approved by the crew leader. EYES UP, NOT DOWN The main interface while you run is audio. Distance, pace, turns and finish calls are spoken, so you can keep looking at the road.
