Kinia - Family Location

Arrived at school. Left an after-school class. Back home. Kinia is an Android family location-sharing app. Receive arrival and departure alerts, then check locations and recorded history when you need more detail. Reduce the everyday “Where are you?” messages and the wait for a reply. For parents and children aged 13 and over with smartphones. Android 8.0 or later and a Google account are required. Get notified when a family member enters or leaves, without keeping a map open. Choose arrival and departure alerts for each place, and select every day, weekdays or weekends. HELPFUL ON BOTH SIDES OF A PICKUP On the way home, at a pickup or meeting up on a day out, check where your family is. The person heading out can plan when to leave, and the person waiting can check where the arriving family member is. Check the update time as well as the location. Kinia does not determine the cause of a delay or calculate an exact arrival time. SEE FAMILY STATUS IN ONE LIST Check alert-area presence, the time since the last update and remaining battery for family members in one view. You can also look back at recorded movement history. ADJUST ALERTS AND LOCATION UPDATE INTERVALS Choose notifications and adjust location acquisition intervals for activity states such as stationary, walking or driving. Balance how recent the information is with battery use on your devices. GETTING STARTED 1. Install Kinia on each family member's Android device and sign in with Google. 2. One person creates a group. Family members join using an invitation link or code. 3. Check location and notification permissions and sharing settings, then register alert areas. Step-by-step guide: https://kinia.io/setup.html CHECK WHAT YOU SHARE To see each other's detailed location and history, both people must choose full sharing for the other person. The area-alerts-only setting focuses on place entry and exit, but information such as battery level and update time is also shared. If settings fail to save, more detailed location information than intended may be displayed. Check the result on the other person's screen after changing a setting.
