Full description
Karo Pulse wakes your PC the moment you turn on your Bluetooth controller. Press a button on your controller from across the room, and your computer is ready by the time you reach it. HOW IT WORKS You pair Karo Pulse once with your gaming controller and tell it the MAC address of the PC you want to wake. From then on, whenever Karo Pulse detects your controller waking up, typically when you press a button to turn it on, it sends a Wake-on-LAN "magic packet" to your PC over your local Wi-Fi network. The PC powers on automatically. No remote desktop, no cloud service, no account required, everything happens on your local network. The trigger is the controller turning on, not its presence. A controller that is already on and nearby does not cause repeated wake events. REQUIREMENTS - A Bluetooth controller (DualSense, BLZ-A0, and most modern BLE-capable controllers work) - A PC that supports Wake-on-LAN (most desktops do; needs to be enabled in BIOS and Windows network settings) - Both your phone and PC connected to the same Wi-Fi network PRIVACY Karo Pulse does not collect, transmit, or share any of your data. Your saved controller and PC details are stored only on your device. The app does not contact any server we operate, does not include analytics or advertising SDKs, and does not need any account to function. The full privacy policy is at https://haimbilia.github.io/karotech-privacy/privacy. PERMISSIONS - Bluetooth (scan and connect), to detect your controller - Internet and network state, to send the wake packet on your local network - Foreground service (connected device), to keep detection running while the app is in the background - Notifications, to show the persistent armed-state indicator with a Disarm action Karo Pulse uses Bluetooth scan results only to detect your saved controller. It does not use them to derive your physical location. LIMITATIONS Android limits how often background apps can scan Bluetooth when the screen is off and the phone is stationary. Karo Pulse uses the platform's recommended background-scan APIs to maximize reliability, but on some phones, especially those with aggressive vendor battery management, detection may be delayed when the screen has been off for a long time. For the most consistent experience, allow Karo Pulse to run in the background without battery optimization restrictions. SUPPORT Questions, suggestions, or bug reports? Email [email protected].

What's new

Fixed: controllers that connect over Bluetooth LE, such as 8BitDo pads, never sent the wake signal in Test Mode. They now wake your PC correctly. Fixed: the notification icon showed as an unreadable shape in the status bar. New: when no controller is saved yet, the app shows how to put the most common controllers into pairing mode.
