Full description
Orbit Dock is a rendezvous and docking game built on real orbital mechanics. Your small spacecraft shares an orbit with a station. Getting there is harder than it looks: in orbit, pointing your nose at the target and burning does not bring you closer. THINK IN ORBITS Burn forward and you climb and fall behind. Burn backward and you drop below and catch up. The relative motion follows the Clohessy–Wiltshire equations, and the predicted path on your plot shows exactly where each pulse will take you. PULSE, WARP, HOLD Tap the thrusters for small pulses of delta-v, speed up time to let the orbit work for you, and arrive at the hold points on the approach corridor. Stay out of the keep-out zone around the station and watch the propellant gauge: every pulse is paid for with fuel. THE FINAL THIRTY METRES Close in and the view switches to the docking camera. Line up the cross-hair with the port, null the rotation, keep the closing speed in the green band and touch softly. Come in too fast and you bounce off. FIFTEEN MISSIONS From a coached first approach to station swaps, depot refuels, a debris field, a spinning dead satellite, a night pass in the Earth's shadow and a grand assembly. Three orbits: Low Orbit, Station Belt and High Orbit. Each mission has three stars for docking, fuel and time. HANGAR Three craft — Courier, Tug and Explorer — and five upgrades: RCS Efficiency, Propellant Tanks, Trajectory Predictor, Docking Camera and Gyros. Every card shows the real numbers before and after. PRACTICE AND LOG Practice approaches from random start positions, then check your records, badges and ranks from Cadet to Orbit Master in the Flight Log. OFFLINE AND PRIVATE No network permission, no advertising, no sign-in and nothing to buy. Your progress stays on your phone.
