Local Find is a local-first phone finder for trusted devices on your own Wi-Fi or LAN. Use the Android app with a paired controller, such as the Local Find Chrome extension, to trigger local find actions from another device on the same network. After you start the service on your phone, a persistent notification shows that Local Find is running. Key features: • Pair trusted controllers with a QR code • Find your phone over your local network • Trigger ring and flashlight actions • Stop active alerts from the app or controller • Manage local pairing and device settings Privacy-first design: • No cloud account • No GPS tracking • No SMS recovery • No internet relay • No ads or analytics • Pairing data stays on your device Local Find is intended for personal use with devices you own or control. It works best when your phone and controller are on the same trusted Wi-Fi network.

What's new

This update makes background/lock-screen findability more reliable, and adds a step-by-step first-run guide to the phone-specific battery/auto-start settings needed to keep the service running (Xiaomi, Huawei/Honor, OPPO, vivo, Meizu, plus guidance for Samsung/stock Android). Paired with the Chrome extension, your phone can be found again automatically after its network address changes.
