Stillhour: Focus Timer

Stillhour is a calm, distraction-free focus timer designed to help students, knowledge workers, and anyone who wants to take their attention back from their phone. Set a session length, pick an ambient sound (or mix your own), and start. The breathing animation guides you in; soft chimes mark the end. Your streaks live on your device — no account, no sign-up, no cloud. Everything in Stillhour is free, forever. No subscriptions. No in-app purchases. We are supported only by quiet, well-placed ads — and you can mute them anytime with our "Ad-Free Hours" feature. WHAT'S INSIDE • Pomodoro-style timer with presets (15 / 25 / 45 / 60 / 90 min) and a custom 5–180 min slider. • 8 ambient soundscapes built in: rain, forest, cafe, brown noise, white noise, fireplace, ocean, train cabin. • Custom soundscape mixer — blend up to 8 loops into your perfect background. • 4 premium soundpacks (storm, gentle piano, japanese garden, library) unlockable for 24 hours with a single rewarded ad. • Streaks and a 90-day calendar heatmap so you can see your focus build. • Home-screen widgets for one-tap session start and today's stats. • Distraction Mode (Android overlay reminder during sessions). • Strict mode — end early and you forfeit today's streak. Your choice. • Pre-session breathing animation and post-session reflection. Skippable. • Localized: English, Vietnamese, Spanish, Japanese. • Fully accessible: WCAG AA, TalkBack-friendly, respects font scaling + reduced motion. AD-FREE HOURS (the polite alternative to a "Pro" tier) Tap "Ad-Free Hours" in Settings, watch a single 30-second rewarded ad, and you get 2 hours of zero ads — no banners, no interstitials. Stack up to 8 hours per day. This is our way of saying: if ads bother you, you should never have to pay money to mute them. PRIVACY-FIRST • No account, no email, no cloud sync. • Your sessions and mixes live in a local SQLite database on your device. • Anonymous analytics + crash reports help us fix issues. Opt out in Settings any time. • GDPR / UK / Apple ATT consent honored. We do not sell your data. WHY WE BUILT THIS Other focus apps paywall basic features, push social pressure, or demand accounts. Stillhour does none of that. It is the focus timer we wanted for ourselves: calm, free, offline, and respectful of your attention. Time, focused.
