UtsavSamithi: Festival Mgmt

UtsavSamithi helps festival committees collect donations and keep books their members can trust. Record every donation in seconds — cash, UPI, bank transfer or cheque. Once a committee member confirms the money actually arrived, it gets a numbered receipt you can send on WhatsApp, and a public verification link so any donor can check their contribution is genuine. Nothing counts towards your totals on trust alone. Track expenses against categories, see collections and spending side by side, and publish a transparency page your whole community can view — no spreadsheets, no arguments at the end of the season. Built for Indian samithis, mandals and temple trusts, in eight languages — English, Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Marathi, Bengali and Gujarati — across the interface, the receipts and the reports. A treasurer working in English can hand a Telugu donor a receipt in Telugu. DONATIONS • Cash, UPI, bank transfer or cheque, with your committee's own payment QR on the donation page. • Public donations, committee contributions, sponsors, business and in-kind gifts, each kept separate. • Import a whole day's collection from a CSV file, or from a photo or PDF of your handwritten sheet. Every row is shown to you for checking before anything is saved. RECEIPTS • A numbered receipt for every confirmed donation. • Upload your samithi's own receipt design and place the fields yourself, with a preview before you save. • Send it to the donor as a picture, or as a link to their own receipt page. • Every receipt carries a QR and a public verification page. No phone number, email or private note is ever shown there. EXPENSES AND CASH IN HAND • Record expenses against a category with the bill attached, and send them through an approval step so no one spends unchecked. • Count the cash box at the end of the evening and have a second person confirm the count. • Categories match the kind of committee you run, so a Durga Puja committee is not handed a list built for Ganesh Utsav. REPORTS AND TRANSPARENCY • Donation, expense and annual reports, exportable to CSV or Excel. • Close a festival year and carry the closing balance forward to the next one. • A public page showing what came in, what went out and what remains, with a printable QR poster for the pandal. • Donor names and phone numbers are never shown publicly. You choose what the page reveals. YOUR COMMITTEE • Admin, treasurer, secretary, volunteer and auditor. Each role sees and does only what it should, and an auditor gets read-only access. • Important financial changes are recorded with who made them and when.
