HOW UNRUSH WORKS When you reach for a distracting app out of habit, Unrush intervenes with a calm, non-aggressive pause screen. Instead of a hard block, it asks a simple question: "Is this intentional?" By requiring a brief breathing exercise or a conscious tap challenge before granting access, Unrush gives your prefrontal cortex time to re-engage, effectively retraining your neural pathways over time. PRIVACY BY DESIGN Unrush is built on a foundation of absolute privacy. • Zero Data Transmission: No personal data, app usage, or behavioral patterns ever leave your device. • No Accounts Required: Use the app immediately without signing up or sharing your email. • Local Processing: All "mindful interventions" and statistics are calculated and stored locally on your phone. Accessibility Service Disclosure: Unrush uses the AccessibilityService API to provide its core digital wellbeing functionality. We use this service to: • Monitor which apps are currently in the foreground to detect when a blocked app is opened. • Show a mindful intervention screen (overlay) to help you pause and rethink your app usage. • Intervene and block access to distracting apps to protect your focus and time. Privacy Note on Accessibility: We take your privacy seriously. The Accessibility Service is used ONLY for the purposes mentioned above. We do NOT read, store, or transmit any sensitive data, screen content, keystrokes, passwords, or personal messages. All processing happens locally and securely on your device.
