Samvaad

Samvaad answers questions from RailTel's own record and shows you the passage each answer rests on, so you can check it rather than trust it. Ask in plain English or Hindi. WHAT YOU CAN ASK • Entitlements and allowances. What a grade is entitled to, what a ceiling is, and what rate is in force today rather than the rate that used to be. • Financial powers and delegation. Who may sanction what, up to what limit, and on what conditions. • Tenders. Search the live listing by what the work actually is, not only by number, and see when the listing was last read. • Documents. Browse and search office orders, manuals, standing procedures and the schedule of powers, and open any of them at the page you need. • Your own record, and what follows from it. EVERY ANSWER SHOWS ITS WORKING Samvaad quotes the passage it answered from and names it the way the document names it — "12.2.1 para 2", not a page number that moves with the printing. Tap a citation and the original page opens with that passage outlined on the scan. Where the passage cannot be located on the page, it says so instead of drawing a box over the wrong paragraph. IT DECLINES RATHER THAN GUESSES If the record does not settle your question, Samvaad says so, and says what it did establish and which document would answer it. It does not fill the gap with something that sounds right. Where two orders conflict, it shows you the conflict instead of quietly choosing one. IT KNOWS WHO IS ASKING Entitlements differ by grade and designation, so the same question has different correct answers for different people. Samvaad establishes who you are from your RailTel sign-in and answers for you. Material you are not entitled to see never reaches the part of the app that composes answers, so it cannot be quoted to you even indirectly. IT READS THE WAY PEOPLE TYPE Misspelt place names, abbreviations, and follow-ups like "and in Mumbai?" all work. A follow-up is resolved into a complete question and shown back to you, so you can see what was asked on your behalf.
