Mohalla Shop

Mohalla Shop puts your neighbourhood's shops on your phone — your kirana, your chemist, your bakery, your fruit-and-veg cart. FOLLOW THE SHOPS YOU ALREADY USE Your wall shows offers only from shops you have chosen to follow. Nothing arrives unasked. Whatever they have today — the evening bake, a crate of mangoes opened this morning — turns up there with photographs. ASK MANY SHOPS FOR A PRICE AT ONCE Write your list once: what you need, how much, and anything the shopkeeper should know ("ripe ones, not the hard ones"). Send it to several shops together. Each one replies with their own rates and holds them for you for a set time, so you can compare and pick. Shopkeepers see the list at their counter with their last price already filled in, so answering takes seconds rather than minutes. PAY THE SHOP DIRECTLY When you confirm a quote it becomes an order with a pickup code. Pay by UPI in one tap, or scan the shop's own QR, or message them on WhatsApp. Your money goes straight to the shop. It never passes through Mohalla Shop, and we take no commission on it. IN YOUR OWN LANGUAGE The whole app — every screen, every notification, every email — is available in 23 Indian languages: Hindi, Bengali, Marathi, Telugu, Tamil, Gujarati, Urdu, Kannada, Malayalam, Odia, Punjabi, Assamese, Maithili, Santali, Kashmiri, Nepali, Sindhi, Konkani, Dogri, Manipuri, Bodo, Sanskrit and English. Urdu, Sindhi and Kashmiri lay out right to left, as they should. RUN YOUR OWN SHOP, FROM THE SAME ACCOUNT There is no separate seller app and no separate login. Anyone can open a store: • List your products with photographs, and post today's offers to your followers • Get a printable QR code for your counter — anyone who scans it can follow your shop • Answer price requests with your prices remembered from last time • Publish your UPI ID and WhatsApp number so customers can reach you directly • See your day, week and month: sales, orders, offers, comments and how fast you reply • Run more than one shop from one account and switch between them WHAT THIS APP IS NOT It is not a delivery service and not a marketplace that sits between you and your shopkeeper. There is no cart, no commission and no payment processing. It is a way to see what the shops near you have, to ask them what things cost, and to reach them — the same conversation you would have at the counter, on a phone. Free to use, for shoppers and for shopkeepers.
