Mdxt : Markdown Notes Editor

mdxt is a fast, offline Markdown editor. Your notes stay as plain .md files on your own device. No account needed, no ads, no tracking, no lock-in. NO PERMISSIONS REQUIRED mdxt requests no storage permission at all. Files are opened through Android's own document picker, so the app can only ever touch the files and folders you personally choose. Nothing else on your device is visible to it. WRITE WITHOUT FRICTION A clean, block-based editor that stays out of your way. Open a folder and browse it in the sidebar, keep several documents in tabs, and jump between headings with the live outline. Focus mode dims everything except the line you're writing. Switch to raw source whenever you want to see the Markdown underneath. FULL MARKDOWN, PROPERLY RENDERED Headings, tables, task lists, footnotes, callouts, collapsible sections, wiki-links and YAML front matter. Code blocks get real syntax highlighting. Mathematics is typeset with KaTeX. Mermaid diagrams — flowcharts, sequence diagrams, Gantt charts — render inside your document. BUILT FOR INDIAN LANGUAGES Type in 19 Indian languages phonetically: write "namaste" and get "नमस्ते". Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, Dogri, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Konkani, Maithili, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Nepali, Odia, Punjabi, Sanskrit, Santali, Tamil and Telugu. Fonts for every one of these scripts are bundled inside the app, so your text renders correctly even on a device that has no Indian language fonts installed — and a line mixing English with Hindi or Tamil displays each script properly. EXPORT ANYWHERE PDF, Word (.docx), HTML, LaTeX (.tex) and plain text. 25 THEMES Light and dark, including Nord, Dracula, Gruvbox, Catppuccin, Tokyo Night, Solarized and Everforest. Adjust font, size, line height and content width to suit how you read. OPTIONAL GOOGLE DRIVE SYNC Sync is off by default and entirely manual. When you turn it on, mdxt uses Google's most restrictive Drive permission, drive.file, which means it can see and modify only the files it created itself — never the rest of your Drive. There is no mdxt server: your documents move directly between your device and your own Drive account. ALSO INCLUDED Auto-save, find and replace, live word count and reading time, and support for opening .md files shared from other apps. mdxt collects no personal data, contains no analytics or advertising SDKs, and works entirely offline apart from Drive sync if you choose to enable it.
