Never Walk Alone

Never Walk Alone is a private, members-only space for widows, widowers and surviving partners in Ireland. Losing a partner can be one of the loneliest experiences there is. Friends don't always know what to say. Evenings get very quiet. This app was created by our own community so that nobody has to face that quiet on their own. It isn't a dating app, and it isn't a public social network. It's a small, welcoming group of people who understand — because they've been through it too. WHAT YOU'LL FIND • Group chats — join the interest groups that suit you, from walking and tea & coffee to music, cinema and gardening. Chat to people who share what you enjoy. • Private messages — have a quiet one-to-one conversation with another member whenever you'd like to. • Events and meet-ups — see what's coming up, suggest an outing of your own, and add events straight to your phone's calendar. • Monthly meetings — details of our regular get-togethers, who's going, and what's on the agenda. • Community votes — help decide dates and plans for group outings. • Photo gallery — share photos from our days out and see everyone else's. • Support pages — gentle, practical information on bereavement support, health and wellbeing, and legal and financial matters. • Night owls — a chat for those nights when sleep just won't come. A PLACE THAT FEELS SAFE Never Walk Alone is members-only. Every member is personally approved by our group administrator before they can join, so you always know you're among people who belong here. Chats are moderated, any message can be reported, and members can be blocked if ever needed. We ask only for what we need. Your phone number, date of birth and your partner's name are entirely optional and are never shown to other members. We don't sell your information, we don't share it with other companies, and there are no adverts. You can read exactly what we hold and why in our privacy policy, and you can ask us to delete your account and your content at any time. FOR MEMBERS OF OUR GROUP This app is for people who have joined the Never Walk Alone group in Ireland. If you'd like to join us, or you'd like to know more, please get in touch at [email protected] and we'll be glad to hear from you. You don't have to face the quiet alone.
